Day 6- DC

hi! We made it to Linda's today. We went to Monticello this morning. We got there by 8:15 and decided that was good timing. We were on the first tour and front row parking. It was very interesting, we really enjoyed it. As we were leaving the place was packed. We went on to the air and space museum in Washington DC. We skipped out the space shuttle stuff since we had been with Caroline at NASA.
We left at 3:15 to go to Linda's. What a mistake. We thought we would be ahead of the traffic. We sat in stop and go traffic for over an hour going only 10 miles in that time. We couldn't believe the traffic. Who would want to drive in that every day?
We finally got to Linda's at 5:15. We went out for supper and then toured her house. We are tired so going to bed soon. Talk to you later.

Then hit a outlet mall. Grandma didn't forget you Brayden or butter ball! Sorry Caroline I will still find you something.

Day 3- Fort Worth Stockyards and Little Rock, Arkansas

This morning we drove to the Fort Worth Stockyards and walked around a bit. Of course the temperature was 103 so it was not exactly a fun walk. Caroline pet every horse she could find and went through several dollars worth of quarters riding mechanical ponies. We grabbed a front row table for the cattle drive then helped Amy and Caroline work their way through a maze.

After lunch Amy and Caroline headed South and we went East. We stopped for the night in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Day 2- Fort Worth

Today we went to the Dallas Galleria to go ice skating and take Caroline to the American Girl Store and Bistro. Check Amy's blog for ice skating pictures. Caroline had a grand time racing from one doll display to another and got a pair of ice skates for her doll from Grandma Becky.

We did a bit of swimming that afternoon, jumping from the freezing cold indoor pool to the hot tub and back.

Day 1 Iowa to Texas

Today we traveled from Algona to Fort Worth Texas. Amy and Caroline drove up to meet us. Caroline did not know who she was meeting so she was pretty surprised to see us at the hotel. We had a great evening and got to drive with "the roof off" from dinner to the hotel.

The Great Trip Out East

The kids got together and decided that Mom needed her own blog. This will be where she (Ok most likely WE) post info about her travels.

Becky and Marc are on a two week adventure across the country to visit with Marc's sister and brother in New England. They are stopping along the way and we will keep you updated.
